Of Chinese Nicaraguan descent, Armando Tam arrived in the U.S. as a child and watched his parents work relentlessly for a brighter future. That example shaped him into a successful businessman and cultural ambassador, widely recognized for his advocacy for Latinos in business, sports, and food.
Armando is the Executive Director of AVANCE Sports, a nonprofit serving executives, entrepreneurs, and professional athletes across the sports industry. He previously served as SVP at NAHREP, the largest Latino business trade association in the country, and holds a stake in AVANCE Global, an event platform amplifying Latino voices.
A serial entrepreneur, he founded Comidazo — a food-tech venture building virtual restaurant brands and consulting for restaurants nationwide — and authored It’s a Vibe, a cookbook pairing dishes with wine and music. Through his TITOSMUNDO clothing line and his BARRIO CHINO series, he champions the Asian Latino story across culture, business, and food.
