Jesús Florido

Jesús Florido is an internationally recognized violinist, educator, producer, and cultural advocate whose career spans classical music, Latin traditions, contemporary performance, and music education. Combining classical mastery with Afro-Cuban, jazz, rock, and fiddle influences, he has built a career dedicated to both artistic excellence and the transformative power of music in communities around the world.

A student of legendary pedagogues including Dorothy DeLay and Joseph Gingold, Florido has performed internationally as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborator — from the complete Mozart Sonatas in Vienna during the 2005 Mozart Anniversary to international tours alongside major artists, including Ricky Martin. He has shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, Whitney Houston, and Robert Plant.

As a producer he has contributed to projects featuring Rachel Barton Pine and the Harlem Quartet, and his acclaimed solo album Heading North reflects his commitment to cultural exchange and innovation. Equally devoted to education, Florido began teaching through Venezuela's El Sistema movement and has since led workshops and masterclasses across the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
